A digital camera (phone, iPod, Flip...) is used to take pictures of the class in some production (skit, lab, debate...). This is done spontaneously. 3. To find data, facts, and/or look at a picture on line (on-task). 4. Use it to enter in due dates to his/her calendar and/or reminders 5. Academic aps (such as, dictionary, thesaurus, unit converter, spell check, drawing aps, photo editors, TED videos, etc.) 6. Taking notes. 7. Video and audio recording of lectures, etc. 8. Listen to educational podcasts. 9. To tether apps or to share documents or pictures related to group projects 10. To get an immediate need (i.e. what's for lunch, what time is practice, etc.) met so they can refocus on class 11. Students were taking notes from the board – some typed and saved on digital folder, some used iPads / iPhone to save on-line 12. Took a pic of a fellow student during lecture. 13. Student records teacher behavior that might be taken out of context 14. Student receives a “sexting” message via cell phone 15. You (the teacher) receive an invitation on a personal social networking site (myspace, facebook…)to accept a friend request from a parent or student. need to edit this a bit. 16. You become aware of inappropriate posting or impersonation about yourself online. 17. Kids get a text message while riding in the car and want to deal with it while riding.
