The wireless key would need to be installed on individual laptops by the Tech. Dept.<br \/>\n<br \/>\nAlso, a addendum to the Technology Contract will be needed to allow students wireless access.<br \/>\n<br \/>\nAllowing this is win-win.  Students can use their own personal laptops, this would allow for more availability for students who use the schools laptops on the cart, it might or divert the need for funds to purchase additional laptops.  The downside(s) are that it would slow down the network, the Tech. Dept. will have additional work entering the wireless key on student laptops,  additional wireless access points and a few additional switches might be needed.  <br \/>\n<br \/>\nSouth Burlington, CVU, Lamoille and Essex are a few schools that I'm aware of that allow wireless access using personal laptops.
